What does family friendly mean? |
| |
We use the following guidelines to determine what is family
friendly. (However, ultimately, it is a judgment by the agents
of storylandforfamilies.com that determines what is family friendly
and what will be published). |
| |
a. |
No ‘bad’ or vulgar language or situations. |
| |
b. |
No excessive violence. We realize that some violence may be
appropriate to certain family friendly stories. The agents of
storylandforfamilies.com will determine if violence is excessive. |
| |
c. |
No explicit sexual scenarios or content. |
| |
d. |
No other ‘inappropriate’ content as determined by storylandforfamilies.com. |
| |
Whether or not a submitted work is considered family
friendly will solely be determined by storylandforfamilies.com
and it’s agents or employees. Storylandforfamilies.com has the
right to deny or refuse publication of any work on our site for
any reason without being required to reveal such reason. At the
discretion of storylandforfamilies.com and it’s agents or employees,
an author may be given an opportunity to edit a story that has
been deemed ‘inappropriate’ for publication on our site. |

How do I read a story? |
| |
Click on the "Home".
Then select a category and genre. You can then browse the available
story titles. Simply click on the story title you wish to read.
You will need Adobe Reader to read the publications on this site.
You may download Adobe Reader at no charge <here>. |
3. |
How do I submit a story? |
| |
Click the <Submit A Story> link on the Home
Page. Fill in the required information and attach your story
and click <Submit>. Submitted stories must be either Microsoft
Word (.doc), a text file (.txt or .rtf). Please submit only one
story at a time. Once we receive your story, it will be reviewed
for publication. We will notify you if it is accepted (at the
email address you provide). |
4. |
What kind of stories/writing do you accept? |
| |
Anything that is considered Family Friendly will
be accepted for publication on our site. We will add categories/genres

5. |
Can I save or download a story? |
| |
Yes. Open the story you wish to save. Click ‘File’
on the Adobe Reader menu bar. Click ‘Save A Copy’. Then select
where you want the file saved (we recommend making a ‘story’ or
‘storyland’ folder in ‘my documents’ if you are using windows)
and the name of the file (we recommend using the story title).
Click the ‘Save’ button and it will be saved to the location you
selected. |
6. |
Is it okay to print a story? |
| |
Yes. However, the story is the property of the author and may not be sold, published
or otherwise distributed without the author’s permission. We also ask that
you not share printed copies of stories with others. We prefer everyone who
wants to print a copy come to the website and print their own copy. This is
so the author gets credit for all access to his/her story. If someone you
know is not able to visit the site themselves, you may return to the site/story
on a separate occasion and print another copy. |

To print a story, click the printer button on the
